1. About these terms

In short: These are the rules for using BARBERZ.LOL and this website.

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of BARBERZ.LOL (“we”, “us”). They apply to the BARBERZ.LOL game on iOS and Android, the web preview at barberz.lol/play and the website barberz.lol. By downloading, playing or using any of them you agree to these terms. The Apple App Store and Google Play terms also apply to your download.

2. Who can play

BARBERZ.LOL is made for players of all ages and families. Its age rating in each app store is shown on the store listing.

3. Parents and guardians

In short: If a child plays, a parent or guardian accepts these terms for them.

If the player is under 18 (or the age of majority where they live), their parent or guardian accepts these terms on their behalf and is responsible for their use of the game.

4. Your licence to play

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use BARBERZ.LOL on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial play. The licence lasts until you or we end it under these terms.

5. Acceptable use

Please don’t copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the game except where the law allows it; use it to break the law; try to disrupt our website or gain unauthorised access to it; or pretend to be BARBERZ.LOL or BARBERZ.LOL.

6. Price and purchases

BARBERZ.LOL is currently free to download and has no in-app purchases, no ads and no subscriptions. If we ever offer optional purchases, they will be clearly priced, processed by Apple or Google under their terms (including refunds), protected by parental controls, and these terms will be updated first.

7. In-game items

Hairstyles, clothes, furniture and other items you unlock in the game are part of your licence to play. They have no real-world money value and can’t be sold or exchanged.

8. Intellectual property

BARBERZ.LOL, its characters, artwork, music, sounds, code, name and logo belong to BARBERZ.LOL or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You are welcome to share screenshots and photos of scenes you made in the game for personal, non-commercial purposes, such as with friends and family. Please don’t use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.

9. Your creations

There is no public sharing in BARBERZ.LOL — your characters and scenes stay on your device. If public sharing is ever added, it will come with its own rules and safety tools, and these terms will be updated first.

10. Third-party services

App stores and your device’s operating system are provided by Apple, Google and others under their own terms. The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States). We are not responsible for third-party services we don’t control.

11. Updates and availability

The core game works offline. We may update the game to fix bugs, add content or meet legal requirements; some updates may be needed to keep playing. We try to keep the website and web preview available but can’t promise they will always be online.

12. It’s a game

Cutting, colouring and styling hair in BARBERZ.LOL is fictional and cartoon-style. It is not real-world advice, and real hair tools and hair dye should only be used by an adult or with an adult’s help.

13. Our responsibility to you

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to digital content that is faulty or not as described. Nothing in these terms affects those rights. If digital content we supply damages a device or other digital content you own because we did not use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation.

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, or for business losses — the game is for personal use only. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

14. Ending these terms

You can stop using BARBERZ.LOL at any time by deleting it. We may end or suspend your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we stop offering the game altogether, we will give reasonable notice on this website where we can. Because your game data lives on your device, it stays under your control.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. The date at the bottom of this page shows the latest version. Important changes will be announced on this website before they take effect.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there. If you live in the EU or elsewhere, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws where you live.
